When i first joined St columbas, the first time i walked down that long walkway i was with jason and rupert and they were really the first people i clicked with at the school and from my own personal experience he was possibly the most strong, selfless and loved person there. Each day i saw him i notice something more and more amazing about him, like his determination and his gratitude to life and to put it simply "the sun" your dumbass media assumption is completely wrong. You've seen all the comments from the above and clearly who ever is reading this has got to agree that this guy will be missed and was genuinely dearly loved.

"blinding lights lead the way" i miss you and am burning the newspaper that-shall-not-be-named atm.

I don't think he was teased. i know his friends and that isnt the kind of thing they would do. I go to a different school to the one he did, but alot of people in the year above me where very upset about it. you could tell he has lots of friends and is loved by everyone who knew him.

Also, i think it is disrespectful for some of the articles about him to have more about what his dad did than what happened to him. No children in there right mind would care about someones dad "lying" or whatever. so just concentrate on whats happened to him.

i new pert very little i met him only twice when out with freinds, but just from those two freinds, he was so freindly and happy and we are all hurting from loosingg him so all just shutup and let everyonee be alone to miss him, instead off spreading shitt, just let everyone greavee because its a dreadfull loss to the world, and i no im gunna miss himm, and i no for sure, he was NOTT bulliedd, ive heard too many different reasons, love freinds and all that stuff, but maybe if you realized what his last words were than it was life all togetherrr. but we will never be sure and tbh its no ones buisnness why he did, if you dont know him go away and leave them people who did to greive for himm,

My son went to ST columbas because of the fantastic community and pastoral support after being bullied at a previous school.People and the media make assumptions ,with little or no knowledge.

What IS it with The Sun????? They're so SO damn offensive... I wouldn't be surprised if they made up the quote from the BBC... they could not be more insensitive if they tried.

I attended the funeral for rupert as a friend of my son & a nice young man who i had met through the school, it is a great loss to every one god bless rupert , as those at the funeral saw he will be greatly missed, my heart goes out to his dad mum & sister who were so strong on such a moving occasion .

Whilst I am 3 years above Rupert's year group I had many dealings with this fantasitc young man. I had contact with him through the Pastoral Programme, as I am a Pastoral Leader like Rupert. His recognition by the Prime Minister on the Princess Diana awards for his initiative in the counter-bullying showed how he was committed to making the school an even better place than it is. Also, in the CCF, he stood to me as a potential leader of the CCF and I know many of my colleagues in the CCF would agree. Also, his knowledge of the Army was amazing and he probably knew more than me!

I attended the funeral today (18/06/2008) as a the Deputy Head-Boy but more importantly as part of the CCF. I was honoured and proud yet sad and emotional to march infront of the coffin at the end and form a Guard of Honour to a true Columban and a truely brilliant young man of whom I heard a lot through Mr Jones.

The school is a strong community with a unique atmosphere and together we will get over this tragedy whilst still remembering this brilliant young man.

I, like everyone else will remember you.

The Sun newspaper qouted a BBC source so any complaints should be made to the BBC - which you are quite within your rights to do. The Press Complaints Commission might be able to help if you think the Sun should not have printed what they did.
