Yeah, around here you can take them to the car.

I just wish those damn things were never invented. My 2 year old always wants one, but as soon as we get inside, she wants out, and repeatedly asks to get out. If I try to get her out, she wants the car again. I think she likes the novelty of the car but doesn't like not seeing what's going on in the cart. I hate those things. Plus you're bumping into things as you try to steer the SUV around the store. Ugh. I love stores that don't have them.

Both our neighborhood grocery stores allow us to take them outside.

I don't think they're afraid of the parent stealing the cart so much as others that might see it in the parking lot. Of course, it's safe to say that Jen and Ben probably live in a better neighborhood than I do.

wow thats really stupid. If you have to use one of those embarassing carts that means you have kids. which means its harder to carry those kids PLUS the groceries you've purchased. Its kinda easier to push the cart outside. They're seriously afraid you're going to STEAL the car cart??
