WTF? just another case of "ignore the fact my child is capable of reproducing, let the 'god said' it's bad! take care of it." . My school system stopped teaching sex ed for a abstitence only platfoirm. because god and morality say so. Teen pregnancies went up 300 percent. I had two seniors pregnant and crying at me because, "mom and church said you can't get pregnant before marriage" Do we really want the type of trash who would force an incest victim into keeping a baby

Fact: Bristol's baby (Trig) does not liekl have profound Down's syndrome - the slight eye fold is evident in all Inuit children. (hmmm who is part Inuit in the Palin family?). Fact - the "missing" birth certificate hey wait a minute how in tarnation do you lose your newborn son's birth certificate (good news - you can get a new one at the Wasilla Town Hall) or ... is it "lost " there too? Any way - FACT - the missing birth certificate per three hospital employees and a Notary (they are supposed to be unbiased and official) states that Bristol Plain (daughter) is the mother of Trig (BTW what the heck is a Trig? I know what a Twig is and a Trug, but a Trig? anyway the 'missing" birth certificate denotes the Father is unk. Yes you can get pregnant (or as Bristil's high school friends called her as far back as January 2008 ("preggers" and "knocked up" ) within a month after giving birth - if you don't nurse in particular a woman's body - especially a young woman's (age 17) hormones kick things into gear pretty quickly - good ole Darwinian survial of the fittest - get that body ready to procreate as fast as possible. So heres is the real skinny - and folks mark my word - if this info doesn't get played out before the election we are in for one heck of an Alaskan crab harvest with a McCain/Palin cadre. A. Trig is Bristol's child; B. Dad is dad x 2 ( please tell me you get it); 3) Bristol saw no doctors for the mythical Mono illness - but... did acompany her ""pregnant"" Mom Sarah to the Ob/Gyn three times before disappearing off the scene for approx 5 months (her friends in school told folks on My Space and their own parents that Bristol was preganant but wouldn't tell them who the Dad was; D) some of Bristol's "former" BFFs have received dire threats to zip it if anyone asks; D) her current boyfriend has vehemently said he doesn't want to be a Dad for this child and had a blurb on My Space that said "don't blame me - I'm not that kid's Dad at the same time Trig was born. Wh ywould he make a comment like that - surely he was thinking that people would htink he had a relationship with Sarah? Nope - another MAN is the DAD; E) Bristol told friends that she didn't think she could get pregnant so easy this time(referring to her assumption that you couldn't get pregnant within a year after giving birth (ie. Trig) now where would she receive such enlightened misinformation about conception - you guessed it Ms. Sarah. The list of facts that are so warped its painful to believe goes on and on - if not for the fact this is in the public theater - it would be just another case of Northern Lights family values that are just a little to intra-family. Ick!!! That's the way it is folks - absolutely no disputing it!

Do a fact check... she DID NOT sell the plane on Ebay... that is a lie

She DID NOT fire her chef.... that is a LIE...

She thinks if she says these cute/clever sound bytes enough, " I said Thanks, but No Thanks to the bridge to nowhere" , that they'll be true... but they won't They are ALL LIES...

& she wonders why people might believe her youngest child might not be hers... that that may be a LIE? Go figure.

There are some people who would rather climb a telephone pole & tell a lie, than stand on solid ground & tell the truth... I think you know who I'm talking about.

This family seems more dysfuntional then most. The pregnant daughters boyfriend had a website. There were a lot of four letter words. I also came across family photo's showing guns and alcohol at the same time,could be dangerous. If this family moves to D.C. watch out this looks like a rough crowd.

Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton, and the Republican's are all crazy if they think women for Hillary will take a no, experience less than exceptional substitute in order to get our vote. God help us if John McCain crockes and Sarah who has only been outside of the United States once has the responsibility of foreign policy and regotiations.

The teen pregnancy issue is meant to divert our attention from her (lousy) record. The facts are much more interesting.

There was an offer of $1.9 million, but the state bungled the terms of sale and the customer bought elsewhere. The Alaska state government continued to pay off the plane at the rate of $62,492.79 per quarter.

Finally the jet, now 21 years old, was placed with a broker and sold for $2.1 million (minus the broker’s 1.5%)

The eBay stunt wasted the state’s time and the people’s money.

Governor Palin has not learned anything since her time as mayor of Wasilla, when she bungled a land deal and bought the tiny town a $125,000 plot of land for $1.7 million.

Is this is the great administrator Senator McCain picked as his running mate?

Um, R. Kit teenage pregnancies are normal. According to PP 40% of women will get pregnant at least one time before age 20.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Palin's knew of their daughter's pregnancy. They just made the public announcement after the media started blowing up family photos looking for "baby bumps".

A number of people have made comments meaning that teen age pregnancies and pregnancies out of wedlock happen in most families and so Palin should not be blamed that she did not bring up her daughter properly or that she is not a good mom. This amounts to saying that teen age pregnancies and pregnancies out wedlock are to be taken as normal and acceptable. Next thing you know, these people would be encouraging such practices. Why not just say, "I am going to support the republican candidates irrespective of whether hey are morally good or bad."

My daughter gave birth at sixteen. Unlike Sarah Palin, I knew she was pregnant before she had a chance to tell me and immediately took her to the doctor for confirmation and then for prenatal care. I did not allow her to have an abortion nor did I force her into a marriage to someone who she didn't know well. My grandchildren are now nearly 14 and my daughter is married to a young man who loves her. I believe that only God is the giver of life. By the way I am not a Republican nor will I vote for this ticket. Seems to me that McCain wanted any woman and did not show due deligence in selecting Palin.

I also agree that if you believe in using Biblical mandates, Palin's ability to manage her household is a prerequisite for managing this country.

Poor Bristol has more than a baby (or two) to deal with, she also has a stupid mother. It's not bad to have a baby out of wedlock. It IS BAD to not really know or understand American History.

You are all wrong. The truth is that the baby, Trigg, is actually the son of a boy who was raised by bats. The egg was removed from Sarah Palin, fertilized with the bat-boy's sperm and implanted into Bristol Palin at an Area 51 base. I think her kids need her a lot more than we do. I think she would be more qualified if all of her children were grown. Her husband works 2 jobs so I don't see how he'd have time to be a full-time dad. I don't think her lack is experience is an issue because we have had Presidents and Vice Presidents with no experience at all. I'm only concerned about her position on issues, especially Healthcare, the Environment, and our Economy.

But what can we say about a parent that chooses a life of suffering upon their child?" >> No one is forcing any young woman to give up her dreams, if she does not want the baby or is unable to care for the baby that's what adoption is for. Also, even if she keeps the baby she can still follow her dreams and reach her goals. If you chose to have sex, you know that pregnancy is a possibility and you have to deal with that. Abortion is wrong morally as well as being opposed to by religious groups. You probably think the baby is just a blob of tissue, but its a human being with DNA and according to how far along in the pregnancy, many living characteristics.

Shame on you. I applaud the Palins for being forth-right and give them props for supporting their daughter. How do you know that the parents are "forcing" the kids to get married and raise the baby. Last time I checked, the same 17 year olds that decided to have sex, are capable of making the decision to keep the baby and "be in love".....just my thoughts.

As for "managing" her family, staying married for 20 years says a lot for me (I've been married 21yrs) ~it isn't easy. At least she puts her family first. I don't think anyone can question that.

Perhaps you can define "manage" better.

One shouldn't throw stones from their glass house.!

Obama's mother was pregnant with him at 17, delivering him when she was 18. She married Obama's father when she was 4 months (or so) pregnant. Pregnant teens can give birth to incredible children, as seen in Obama's case. What is the real issue here?

I am a mother and I know that kids will make mistakes. Teenage pregancy is one of those mistakes that can occur in any family, so I would never judge the "character" of parents by that.

That being said, I am horrified that Palin, by accepting the VP nomination, exposed her daughter to media scrutiny. Palin could have said no to the offer, and Bristol would not be in the national, no world, spotlight. She would be in Wasilla and people there would know about her pregnancy, but the National Enquirer, etc. would not be prone to splash her picture on their front pages. This is a private family matter and Palin and her husband had the ability to keep it so. They chose not to and I can't fathom how any job would be worth doing that to their daughter.

A picture has now been produced of Sarah showing, so enough of the "I didn't show much comments" but how did she not show any other time than in that photo e.g. with colleagues, on stump and ahem boarding Alaska Airlines Flight 666? 5. How/why DID she get on that flight with waters broken etc? 6. Who says that Bristol Palin is "about five months pregnant?

Answer to that last one. That would be VP Mom who is an accomplished liar and/or cover up merchant and/or at least a dangerous crazy. Flying in that condition? And creationist. OMG.
