They're trying to cover up that Trig wasn't hers by PRETENDING that she is now pregnant. That way when we finally get those hard facts that Trig IS actually Bristols, the palin camp can say "whats the big deal? so she was a teenage mom. you thought she was going to be anyway" and then they'll say "we only lied because we were scared of what people might think and bristols such a delicate flower. WE DID IT FOR TRIG". thats it. homegirls just eating extra cheeseburgers and stuffing a pillow up there. just like her mom did when she pretended to be pregnant.

Beautiful baby, but still not the son of Sarah.

31 and 30 years later, I do regret not having pictures taken as I have none of the boys when they were first born.

Anyway, I feel pretty confident that this is Sarah's child and he is Down Syndrome because of her age.

Don't agree with her style of politics and will now not vote for McCain because he picked her.

If she's as pro-life as she purports, you'd think she'd be (or ONE of the gazillion family members!) celebrating the blessed event instead of hiding or minimizing it.

Just my 2 cents...

If that's true, her judgement is seriously impaired.

Either way, she's in a bad position, damned if she does (cop to it being Bristol's) and if she doesn't too - shows her utter lack of judgement whatsoever.

As far as getting pregnant again so soon after birth - it happens more than people would think...especially if one stops breastfeeding!

Bottom line - there are WAY too many inconsistencies in any facet of this woman's life to entrust the country to her. I worked for McCain in college and he wasn't too sturdy then - 20 years ago - so it's highly possible she would end up being president. Not a risk I want to take.

The first photo of him was taken the day after he was born. Oops, he must not be mine! I had a high risk pregnancy. My son was born prematurally. At the time, we were far too concerned about his health to think about photographs. I am guessing they went through something similar.

As for having 2 so close together- Happens all the time! 'Irish Twins' or whatever the offensive term is. My sister had two within the two years & my great grandmother was 17 with two under the age of one- They were 11 months apart I think. She was English not Irish though :).

Either way why don't they just produce a birth certificate? Not that it couldn't be doctored--- but why bother?

As for why nobody has stepped forward to squash the rumors -- HIPAA privacy rules prevent that. And I can kind of understand why Palin would have hidden the fact of her own pregnancy. She was in a very visible position. As soon as she said anything, there would have been allegations of her being unable to make rational decisions due to her "condition", she would have been pressured to do things the way other people wanted her to do them instead of how she wanted, and she may have even been pushed to step down, especially if it was public that she was going to have a special needs child. Look at all the judgy Judy's now! By keeping her mouth shut, she kept other people out of her business and her decisions. By going back to work 3 days later, she was probably trying to prove to her political opponents that she *could* handle everything.

I dunno. I might not vote for her ticket for other unrelated reasons, but I feel for the woman. No matter what she did, somebody would have criticized her for it, so she probably just did what felt best to her. Just like everybody else. The difference is that she's doing it in front of everybody else.

It just seems very unlikely to me that a teenage mom gave birth to a baby with Down Syndrome AND then immediately got pregnant again.

There was an article in US Weekly or People or something where she told her husband at 10 or 13 weeks that they were a.) having another boy, and b.) he was going to be special needs. Okay, never having had a child myself (I'm expecting my 1st) but having been reading up on it, I haven't read anything where you get an ultrasound at that early on that will show what the sex of your fetus is. Also, any testing that would be done, unless it was invasive, would be screening at best for down syndrome, such as the fold of the neck test, but is not definitive. Most other testing is done later or would be harmful to the fetus, and seeing as she is such an extreme pro-lifer, why would she do the test anyway as it is optional? I'm sure her dr. would suggest due to her age, but by no means, unless you are considering aborting the fetus due to problems, why put the fetus under those conditions? some of those tests have a high likelihood of ending in miscarriage. that to me would be something I would think she would avoid seeing as she is so strongly pro-life. just a thought.
