Eva Mendes told her friend Salma Hayek that she stole her baby name.

re: Salma Hayek Is A Thief

im man age 30

I was briefly married years ago, thankfully a childless union. Years before I met my ex, I had this "perfect boy name" in my mind, which turned out to be his. Well, when I did have a boy many years later, do you think I named him after my ex? Of course not, the name was now burned.

I would have hoped for the same decency in return. But last year I learned he had a baby girl and named her my "perfect girl name", which is the nickname my mom used to give me as a child (and the name we had talked about giving to a hypothetical girl). It's not such a rare name and I suppose his new wife picked it up and he probably didn't have the heart to tell her why he didn't want it. Anyway, I'm sure she would love to learn that her daughter is named after her husband's ex.

In the end, he managed to steal both my perfect names!
