It is very easy and unfair to sit on the outside and point fingers. NO ONE knows why, where, or how Keith was prescribed these particular medications. The sad thing is there are thousands of Americans on too many medications, and thousands of Americans not on medications they need due to the outrageous costs of the meds and the inability to pay for those meds.

Why don't we address this issue in a productive manner, ie voting, lobbying, etc and leave the Ledger family alone to cope with their grief?

Correct, people goes to different doctors to get the pills they want!

But, as far as I know, there is a common database to track the history of medication and sickness of people. Ofcouse, if somebody goes to different countries for different medications, that cant be traced. But, if he got whole those medicines from US, then I am totally agree with @Cassie.

Wow that's a lot of different medications. If it's really an accident they need to figure out who prescribed all of that stuff.

It probably wasn't one doctor. A lot of people go to several doctors to get all the pills they want. I don't think you should blame the doctor.

What quack doctor prescribed two major pain killers, both highly addictive, with heavy duty sleep meds, with Xanax, also addictive, with a antihistamine and with Valium? No ones heart can beat or lungs can function on that combo. Someone needs to be brought up on charges.
