They are Jewish, I'm pretty sure. Its an alternate spelling of Shia, like &amp;nbsp;Shia LaBeouf. Many Hebrew names end in vowels, which can make them sound &amp;quot;feminine&amp;quot; to many people's ears. My son has a Hebrew name, my grandfather's name, and it infuriates me when people ask if I &amp;quot;made it up&amp;quot; or assume its a girl's name..&lt;/p&gt;
