The idea of &amp;quot;CP time&amp;quot; is more of a widely accepted stereotype (at worst) or joke (at best). Being prompt is a matter of good manners. It has nothing to do with you being &amp;quot;colored.&amp;quot; I wish she would stop peddling this crazy sh*t all over the place and just grow up. She's a mess.&lt;/p&gt;

Western Europeans, especially the 'highly literate' perceive time as uniform, segmented, linear, contiguous. For those from non western cultures, especial those with a strong oral tradition, time if more flexible and fluid. You think in terms of &amp;quot;7ish&amp;quot;, rather than &amp;quot;7 PM sharp&amp;quot;. In fact when the shift first occurred in Western culture, promptness was considered bad form, and middle class. It was the quality of shop keepers, for whom 'time is money' and not of the leisure classes and aristocrats.&lt;/p&gt;
