Maybe i am not smart for scientology. But i think I'am smart to try and teach my 4 year old daughter to follow the process of growing. And that every kid is different.

She left botles for completely at her first year of age and

dippers at 1 year and 2 months.

Maybe Sophia is not prepared to stop with the bottle and the dipper.

Dont talk (B-S) about sophia you don't know what is going on her head or what she thinks about letting go of her "baba" it's part of her life.

I agree with Cassie. It amazing how someone is considered a "troll" for voicing their opinion. I mean, 4 years old and in diapers and on the bottle? WTF? Also that kid is NOT cute and looks like the spawn of Satan. She is a spoiled little brat and I have no sympathy for it. Kids like that I could care jack about.

This isn't that big a deal. My four year old still takes one bottle at night, it's a comfort issue. Some kids take longer to potty train. You shouldn't judge.

You know, I really try to avoid being mean and snarky on message boards, and I felt bad as soon as I made my comment, but I have to say that I was very upset by some of what Cassie said. I know she has a point. However, I was very upset at her characterizations of this poor girl. I don't think it is necessarily her fault that she is overweight, but no matter whose fault it is I think it is inappropriate for an adult to taunt and name-call a child.

I have a lot of sympathy for this family, and I know first-hand how difficult it can be making decisions for your child when they are visibly and audibly emotionally upset. I know how strongly it pulls on your heartstrings, and there have been many times where I wanted to do the easy thing instead of the right thing. I think we've all been there.

No matter how upset I might have been by Cassie's remarks, I think I could have chosen a more appropriate way to respond.

My son had 2 bottles @ 3yr.1/2...big deal they are not going to college with a bottle. What's more pathetic a 3 year old with a paci?? At least my son was getting calcium which a paci or hanging on to a blanket doesn't provide. And he is not fat. It's different when you have an only child..you not in so much of a hurry to have them grow up!

Okay Cassie might not be aces at tact, but she has a point - a few actually. That kid is running the house, Leah admitted. The parents clearly need some guidance as to handle potty training, feeding their kid actual food during the day so she won't drink high-fat formula all night, and disciplining that child to understand the word no. Otherwise, come age 14, 16, 18...Leah will be in serious trouble with an out of control teenager.

On the other hand, I have to applaud Leah for being honest - I'd bet that she isn't alone in this and other moms will ask for help. I hope they figure out some common sense in raising that child!

Fat as a hog. If you got up 6 times a night to eat fattening baby formula or milk you would be fat too. She is huge! I heard she wears diapers all day, not just a night to accidents. They ar ewaiting for her to be ready to train. I guess by 20 years old she will be ready. They are idiots. All first time parents are clueless but they get the kdi off the bottle by the time they are 2 years and on the pot by 4 years. Her kid is way too old to be waking for a bottle. Imagine how embarrassed she will be when she grows up and hears about all of this. Studies have also shown kids who sleep poorly are more likely to be obese like Miss Piggy here.

I saw that show and I'm pretty sure she is three and a half years old. Also, there are lots of 3/4/5 year olds that need a diaper overnight. I wouldn't make the same choices as her either- but you people are pretty brutal. She admits she has no idea what she is doing as a mom, and now is looking for guidance out of her situation. She put herself out there and I think she should be given some props for that.

From what I understand (which isn't much), Scientology believes children are just small adults and should be allowed to do what they want. Right. Time for Leah to throw away the sippy cup and let Sofia mess her pants if she's not open to toilet training. She and her husband abdicated their parental roles and should be ashamed of themselves.
