The good news is that the "changing" thing also applies to bad stuff.

The very best parenting advice I got when my daughter was a baby was "Just when to start to really worry about something, it changes."

She is 21 now and it's been true all along.

I'm a girl who grew in Brooklyn too... three times. ;)

Oy, I remember when I lost naps. In the space of a month, they disappeared entirely. Oh, of course, there is still the odd snooze here or there, but nothing that could be counted on or planned around. I stopped replying to email, reading for pleasure, and hearing myself think during daylight hours.

You'll be missed and I'll keep an eye out for you elsewhere. I stopped in here because I'm a long time fan of Doug's and a loyal mediasquatter, but you won me over all on your own.

Bummer! I was looking forward to see how Mamie fared in preschool. But I understand-- my 6-mo-old has been on nap strike lately, making it hard to do even two hours of work a day. How do other wahms do it?
