C still sleeps with us. In fact, she sleeps with us more completely now - as a toddler - than she did as an infant. Sometimes we talk about transitioning her to her own bed, but honestly, we are being pretty lazy and ambivalent about it.
She used to start the night in our bed, but we would move her to her crib, located right beside our bed, after she was thoroughly asleep. Then I would bring her back into our bed when she wanted to nurse. Now, however, she is no longer nursing - I weaned her a few months back as a medically recommended part of our thus-far-unsuccessful attempt to have another baby - but she is still eating at night. What this means is that she usually downs about 8-12 ounces of milk from her bottle during the overnight hours. Let me tell you: I appreciated the ease and convenience of breastfeeding before, but I REALLY appreciate it now that I have a toddler dribbling and dripping cold milk from her bottle all over our shared sleep space all night long. As it appears that another baby probably isn't in the cards for us anyway, I am really regretting my decision to wean her. Breastfeeding, as opposed to bottle-feeding, never left my bed sheets sopping wet and smelling like cottage cheese.
