(ahhh... just a point of correction to Michelle's comment. I appreciate the vote of confidence but I've not yet been published. The anthology in question featured a different writer by the name of Kate who also lost a son named Liam.)

These are Medecins sans Frontieres blogs written by Canadian expats. There's often a lag between posts and it is, unfortunately, censored by MSF. However, the blogs are a wonderful mix of heartbreaking and heartwarming accounts of the experiences of MSF volunteers. I personally like the reality check. It's hard to complain about traffic en route to the pediatrician's office when you've just read about a mom walking for 2 days to take her child to the nearest doctor. (And, some of them are written in French, which gives me much needed practice. Bonus!)
