If he's doing that, the words are going to be spilling out in no time. The important thing is that he's attempting to communicate, and being communicated to.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I'm not a psych expert by trade, but I've seen a lot of kids do what Psychmum was talking about--they lie in wait, not really saying any intelligible words, and then suddenly they go from single words to 5-word sentences. It's truly an amazing thing.&lt;/p&gt;
