Political Nanny

Democratic Dream Team?

Finally, someone asked the question on many, many Democrats' minds: How about an Obama-Clinton/Clinton-Obama dream ticket. It was a final question in last night's debate, which was notable for its lack of nasty slights and pointing fingers. Wolf Blitzer asked Barack Obama just that.

Laughter and smiles from the candidates. Loud and enthusiastic applause from the audience. No, nobody looked surprised. And no, nobody said "great idea, let's do it!" But neither of the candidates said it would be out of the question either.

Oh, be quiet. A nanny can dream, can't she?

Each of them gives me the creeps - Obama is still too superficial for my tastes (Hey, Hope is Important!) and Hillary is the embodiment of the political machine (Just what we need: another dynastic political family!). But, since Americans like to just shuffle around the same garbage every four-to-eight years, rather than make the hard choices needed to deal with our actual problems, I'm sure that one of these empty sacks of clothing will do just fine in the election.

Of course, I'd take either of these two simpletons over the Republican offerings.

Is it just me or does Obama look totally hot in this picture? Maybe it's just because he's so heroic, intelligent, passionate and such a doting father and husband! Yum.

Not to pick nits, but his heroicism, intelligence, passion, and parenting skills come through in a picture? A picture? Maybe there's something wrong with my monitor, because all I see him doing is telling Clinton that he's going to start yammering about Whitewater, Vincent Foster, Johnny Chung, and Ron Brown, if she or Bill ever mentions Rezko again.
