Anthony Bourdain's Next Project: Fatherhood

anthony bourdainThis one really took me by surprise, mainly because I thought Anthony Bourdain was married to some woman named Nancy. He dedicates lots of his writing to her. (I know because I own lots of his writing. GodIlovehim.) Anyway, turns out that no, he has an Italian girlfriend and they expecting a girl in April.

I wonder if fatherhood will change Bourdain? If he will keep drinking (I get a contact high just watching him drink on TV) and smoking and eating snakes and balut (shudder). Or, will he settle a bit and stick closer to home?  In any case, I hope one thing doesn't change: the intensity with which he rails against the the Food Network.

 Tanti auguri and félicitations, Anthony! Yours is a baby food cookbook I would definitely buy.

Hey!  Have you tried balut?  --I'm Filipino; while lots of my compatriots can't stand the stuff I actually really enjoy it.  Haven't had any since moving to the US 5 years ago though.

Some people say just having the soup and yolk is better than trying to eat the entire thing.

It really is an acquired taste, though.

(BTW, did AB actually eat it?  What did he think?)
