Dear Donald Trump,
I hate you. I admit it. The hair, the
tired show, the ridiculous business with Rosie O., the hiring and
firing of your trophy wives, the smug and self-righteous pomposity...
You give me another reason to hate you with each public appearance.
Why, you gave me one just today, Big D, after CBB broke the story that you tried to boot pregnant Access Hollywood
host Nancy O'Dell off the Miss America Pageant (she's under contract as
host), because you "don't like the way pregnant women look."
Did you honestly think you were going to get away with that, Big D? What the f#$k is the matter with you?!?
As the owner of the Miss America Pageant, you've claimed
that the show is about more than just "looks." But c'mon, dude, who do
you think you're kidding? We all know it's a G-rated peep show.
Besides, if you are really trying to raise the show above its
reputation as a glorified wet t-shirt contest, how is trying to kick a
sexy, pregnant - so therefore "unattractive?" - host off going to help
your cause? And what does Nancy's pregnancy have to do with her
hosting skills, anyway? For God's sake, man, have you never heard of The Pregnancy Discrimination Act? What year do you think this is?
I give NBC a big thumbs-up for refusing to release Nancy from her
contract, and keeping your ego in check. (Plus - pregnant Nancy
O'Dell? In the plunging v-neck maternity dresses? She's HOT, fool.)
As a business man, and member of the human race, D., you'd
do well not to discriminate against your pregnant wives (3), daughters
(2), and countless potential employees and female viewers. You also
might want to think about expanding your definition of beauty to make
room for life-sized women - or at least try not to bash them in public
anymore. It's just good public policy. And hey - maybe if your
archaic boobie parade actually reflected the diversity of American
women, and all the shapes, sizes and colors they come in, then people
would actually watch it.
Nah - on second though, probably not.
Because if there is one thing the Miss America Pageant represents well,
it's out of touch, out of date, chauvinist douchebags like you. The
rest of us have moved on.
