I've written before about TV shows that should have been turned into movies, say, 20 years ago. I predicted the demise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -- and then went on to see it beat the crap out of the competition. Kids, combined with adults looking to relive their childhood, proved me wrong.
So how about the "Simpsons" movie? I used to watch that show every week -- way back when it was on every week, as opposed to every 10 minutes. But now? I hate to say I've moved on. It's just not as funny as it used to be. So the idea of paying $10.50 to go see two hours of what I don't watch at home for free doesn't seem that appealing. But now I'm wondering whether I'm getting it all wrong again. What do you say? Will the movie make big bucks or simply go the way of the Plow King?
