Early Nancy Drew
packed heat. She drove a roadster, gave lip to the cops and kept her boyfriend, Ned, somewhere in the background -- always second fiddle to solving mysteries. From what I can tell, new Nancy Drew -- at least modern-day
movie Nancy Drew -- is just trying to fit in.
It's been years since I've read any Nancy Drew, and it's probably not surprising that I was more of a Hardy Boys fan anyway. But seeing this trailer for the new Nancy movie, I'm not all that excited. Veronica Mars seems to kick more butt.
