Bare Naked Ladies (and Other Music) for Kids

Surely the music wars in our house typify those going on around the country.  One person likes Barney, one likes Sheryl Crow, another likes Metallica, still another Terri Clark.  No matter who likes what, the other people grouse and complain and refuse to dance when their music is ousted by another's choice. And so it goes.

Happily, we've found some compromises, including the Fox and Branch CD, previously reviewed on Babble.

Clever parents recommends ten songs you should download for your kids that won't drive you nuts.  Sadly, none contain the lyrics, "pour some sugar on me":

One Little Slip – Bare Naked Ladies (the kids will love this for the name, of course).

Sunshine Day -  Madeline’s Toybox.

Rearrange – Professor Yippit

Somewhere Over the Rainbow – by many many artists.  Originally by Judy Garland, of course.

Get your kids some Guster!!! A good starter is the "Guster on Ice" CD/DVD, recorded at the State Theatre in Portland, ME.

The CD is live, and the DVD is full of lights and video from the two night show.

To be fair, their name is actually Barenaked Ladies, but it should have the same effect with kids...
