Guilty Pleasures of a Housewife: Afternoon TV

Sometimes while I'm out with my daughter in the middle of the day, I have to stop and pinch myself I'm so giddy. The beach. The zoo. The museum. The park. We do all sorts of things together, and it feels like we're stealing a day, just the two of us. I feel like the luckiest person in the world.

And then her nap arrives and it gets even better. Because I get to watch TV. In the afternoon. By myself.

So thank you, VH1, for providing me with endless re-runs of some new show starring Scott Baio.

"Do you get the finality I see when I look at marriage -- it's the fear of death."

The show is called "Scott Baio, 45 ... and single." Sitting there, listening to him expound on the joys of marriage, I had to wonder why this guy's single. He has class. And my afternoon attention.

What's your guilty nap time pleasure? And hands off Scott -- he's all mine

I LOVE THIS SHOW. His show even inspired a post.

I wish he would throw that tool friend of his away though. I could do without that sidekick.

Dammit, Mike, I'm trying REALLY hard to stay away from that Scott Baio show.  I'm afraid it will give me pinkeye.  That, and in interviews he comes across as a gigantic jackass, which might go a little way toward explaining the "single" part.

Right now I'm watching "Message in a Bottle," a movie that never fails to piss me off with its non-happy ending.  That's my TV treat - utterly craptastic movies that I would never admit to watching, but if they're on, hey, why not?

Now, if only The Cutting Edge would be on...

Sad to say, I downloaded the pilot on iTunes -- let's just say, because it was free. It's still free, too...

So, just curious: Happy Days or Charles in Charge?

How sad is this...  I watch Law & Order reruns.  That, or any food, makeover or decorating shows.

Motherhood has sucked my brain straight out.
