As reported yesterday by Famecrawler, Miley Cyrus, the former (last girl standing) good girl of teen actors is reportedly pregnant. At fifteen.
This girl is no Britney Spears (yet). By all accounts she has a loving, involved family who keeps her out of the usual teen celeb troubles... Until now that is...
I felt my heart skip a beat when I read about her. I have 3 little girls and the thought of them getting pregnant while a teen is among my top 10 worst fears. I (like all parents safely ensconced in the harbor of raising kid young enough to adore and listen to me with open ears), cannot really fathom teenage girls from where I stand. Is it true that we'll all be hit by teenage-hood like a freight train rolling down the tracks?
There but for the grace of God and all of that, but as a parent of kids still under 6 I have to believe it won't happen to my sweet little girls. And perhaps that sort of self-delusion is what keeps us raising our little babies happily?
Update: Bestill my beating heart, turns out the girl *isn't* pregnant after all....
