Pregcellent: Love-Fest Or "Ugh, No Way"

Posted by Kelly Mills

bad storkHormones are a funny thing, and no, not "ha ha" funny, so don't even think about laughing because we are feeling a little emotional right now and we don't need that kind of crap... Okay, hormones. They make some pregnant ladies cringe at the thought of sex, while others find the libido goes to a whole new level. And some (a few of the bloggers here, in fact) just get really into porn for a change. While we sometimes find the logistics of pregnancy bump-and-grind amusing, we're curious about your bedroom habits. Or kitchen habits, I guess, if it's like that.

So where did you or do you come down on the issue? Were you in the "I want it all the time now" camp, or was your romping limited to a particular trimester? (By the way, I'm curious if anyone had the big love yen during the first trimester, because sweat and nausea don't mix that well.) Or did you say, "Good god, don't touch me, that's how we got into this mess in the first place"? I've even heard of some ladies in a bind: they wanted it, but their partners got weirded out by the bun in the oven lovin' thing. How about you?

I'm currently 23 weeks along- NO desire whatsoever. Any sexy stuff is purely for my husband's benefit at this point- but then, I never had a high sex drive to begin with. I really wish I was one of those women who get super-horny when they're pregnant... that would be fun!

I'm 24 weeks now and after the nausea abated at about 19 weeks I had one good week where I just wanted to forget eating and sleeping and working and just have sex. My husband was exhausted. But that passed VERY quickly. Now, anything I do, I do for my poor sexually frustrated husband.
