It seems almost redundant to link to the recent announcement that uber-blogger Dooce's book of fatherhood essays is coming out in April, considering most of the blog-reading world probably knows about it by now.
But in case you missed it, Heather Armstrong, author of the all-at-once frantically hilarious, completely open and utterly charming blog Dooce, is editing a book of essays on fatherhood from some of the blogosphere's most well-known writers. This is a book I can. not. wait. for.
"Things I Learned About My Dad (in therapy)" promises to delve into the idea that "dads loom large in who we are and the choices we make." OK, maybe not particularly ground-breaking in theory, but with a lineup of stellar writers, this is a book I can't pass up. It comes out in late April and is available on Amazon for pre-order.
