Game Time! Coolest Kid's Room Ever

I've recently begun steering my daughter away from the toy section whenever we enter a thrift store, because as soon as she spots a board game she's all over it like grime on used dice. It's not that I don't want her to play -- it's that I don't want to get stuck playing Candy Land for three and a half hours.

After seeing this fantastic kid's room display using abandoned board games, I may have to reconsider the toy section. Erin over at Buddy Rooster sent in these photos to Ohdeedoh and I have to say: This is the best kid's room decorating idea I have ever seen. It's worth playing Candy Land on the walls, all day, for this look.

That IS super cool...another ideas, though a bit heretical, is to buy a kid's picture book that you love, carefully  remove the illustrations wth an xacto knife, frame them in identical inexpensive frames (we go to cheap pete's in the Richmond) and hang them in a series. My mom did it with a used raggedy ann and andy book when I was little. Of course, this is entirely hypothetical...right :-)

Now there is a good idea. My mom kept all my childhood books, and now I'm wondering about them ... hmmmm. Maybe one wall?

Great idea Susan!
