Hasselbeck says wives need to bring sexy back

Posted by Brett Singer

HasselbeckI take it all back. Everything I said. Elisabeth Hasselbeck is the most amazingly wonderful woman in the history of the world. She is a true intellectual, a raconteur of the highest order, and above all: she knows that men need sex.

Of course, Elisabeth doesn't think this applies to "Tainted Guv" Eliot Spitzer and his wife. Of course not. That's why she mentioned the fact that wives need to keep their hubbies happy in the sack while she and her "View" pals were discussing that particular topic. But in general, her attitude is:

"If your guy needs sex, OK, I may not be in the mood, but we're gonna have sex?"

I mean, that's how it is in my house. Isn't it that way in yours?

Of course, it's only fair! I mean after all guys need sex, even if I'm not in the mood! I'm off to buy some shoes now...

Of course it works that way in your house Brett. There's obviously no connection between a husband's straying and if he's getting any at home. Only a conservative reactionary would suggest otherwise.

Look, I'm a politically liberal feminist AND I think that wives need to keep their husbands happy in bed. Just like husbands need to keep their wives happy in bed. Acknowleding and meeting your partner's sexual needs is part of maintaining a good marriage, right-o?

Another liberal piping in her and yes, sometimes you do what you gotta do to keep the mate happy and that means when I know its been a little while and I'm still too damned tired and not in the mood I still do the "deed" and most of the time I end up snapping out of my tiredness and enjoying it as well. Its that initial urge to say "nah, tired" thats hard to fight!

I am totally saying "Deed" in a joking manner so please no rants on how it shouldn't be a deed, yada yada.

Hahahaha!  Every sex addict out there bangs his wife daily and still screws hookers at lunch.  You would flip if you knew how many guys go to Jack Shacks to flog their logs.  Husbands, fathers, brothers.  But they all have one thing in common, they are all upper middle class to wealthy.  Most are married, with kids or pregnant wives. Only they can afford it.  The poor guys pick up their hand jobs on the streets.  I am just waiting for the day Liz announces her divorce from Mr. Perfect.  You know whiney ass has already pushed him to the arms of someone quieter. Mark my words.

I'm with you bostonmeg.  I'm not Elisabeth Hasselbeck's biggest fan, but the hate directed toward her on this site on a regular basis feels very strange and stalker-y to me.  It seems to me that it is kind of a human truth that part of marriage is making sure one's partner is satisfied sexually.  This applies to either sex.  And I didn't follow the links, but I didn't see anything here that suggests that she thinks that Spitzer was driven into the arms of the hooker by his wife's refusal to put out.

I miss Karen Murphy.
