Help me pick a Mother's Day gift (please)

Posted by Brett Singer
Supermom PajamasReminder: Mother's Day is Sunday, May 11th. And while I sympathize with Redsy, and even agree to a certain extent, I'm not stupid enough to even try to ignore Mom's Special Day.

That said, I'm out of gift ideas. So I'm asking you, the readers, to help me out. I'll post some items and you give me a "yea" or "nay" in the comments (even a simple "y" or "n" will do.) If you have any items you'd like me to consider gifting, leave that in the comments as well.

First up: Supermom Pajamas. (These would be for my wife.) Because "no one deserves superhero status more than Mom." My gut reaction is that these are a little bit too much like underoos.

So - is $39-49 enough to spend on a gift for the mother of my children? And if so, will the New York Post headline on Monday, May 12th read "Man Found Strangled With Starry Blue PJ Pants"? Or is this sleepwear just too cute for words?

Maybe you could tag team, get her those from the kids and some sexy pajamas from you? Let her know you appreciate her when she isn't just mom, too. Might be a cute, themed present.

No. Just really- no. It is the "super mom" graphic on the chest that just fatally does these in. I do kind of like the pants.

Ummm... No.  But these are certainly better than the Roomba I got one year.

I'll bet you could find something cool, unique, and just her style at Etsy.com.  And they even have a Mother's Day showcase right now.  Reasonable prices, handmade, personal, etc.

Good luck.

I'd go with those could work as a gift from the kids, if you want to get her clothes (and you better be 100% sure of the size or you are dead) these are great shirts www.planetmomtshirts.com/tshirts1.html

also a spa, manicure, or Starbucks type gift cert is generally safe.

I agree with the Etsy suggestion. My favorite is mangotreejewelry.etsy.com.

Go Etsy. Yes!

Or some sort of pampering-like a hair appointment or a MASSAGE!

Please don't do like Tracey said and support Starbucks, I'm sure you have a nice independent coffee shop who could use your money much more than the evil empire, should you go that route.
