Cancel the Ultrasound: Chinese Gender Chart 100% Accurate!

Posted by Madeline Holler

Why bother with that 20-week ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby? Just look up a few details on this ancient Chinese gender chart and starting painting the nursery walls!

The chart takes into account mom's age at the time of conception, as well as the month the baby was conceived (so scientific!), runs it all through a centuries-old, secret, honorable information filter and, boom!, a "B" or a "G."

I  did a little fact-checking based on my own babies, as suspected, 100% accurate! How'd Confucius do at charting your baby's most important feature?

Still not convinced? Then take this quiz -- though you'll want to be prepared with hard stats like "leg-shaving frequency" and "brightness of urine."

i am 9 weeks along right now and have a 10 month old son.  when i checked the age of conception for him (32) against the month of conception (october), supposedly, he should have been a she!  my 2 other girlfriends used this and it was wrong for them too!

Pretty amazing eh? I used to be really anti-old wives tales, but after years of women telling me how fun they were I started to embrace they for what they are - goofy fun. I personally think birth is the best way to figure out if baby is a boy or girl, but hey...  :-)
