I'm not very good at the breakfasty foods at breakfast time routine. If I'm going to go all out and make fancy eggs or fancy breads or fancy cured meats, I'm going to do it at dinner. As it turns out, my quickie morning breakfasts of high-fiber cereal and juice may be what is keeping all of this jiggly leftover baby fat on my belly.
At least, that's what the experts say. Dieters who ate half of their calories in the morning lost more weight over the long term that those who had fewer calories in the a.m. Which falls into the "good to know" category but not in the "I'll get right on it" category.
In order to make a fabulous breakfast that is both nutritious and meets that calorie requirement, I'd have to get up even earlier than I currently do. My new plan is to wait until one of my kids is old enough to cook a big breakfast for me. I'll let you know how that goes.
