Dr. Michel Sussman, Angelina Jolie's OB/GYN, has confirmed that Jolie delivered her twins by C-section Saturday night - and the twins are not both girls, as many media reports had previously stated.
Knox Leon (5.03 lbs.) and Vivienne Marcheline (5 lbs.) were born at about 8:00 pm at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, with their famous dad in attendance. The operation had been scheduled for a later date, but had been moved up for what Dr. Sussman described as "medical reasons." He didn't elaborate, but said Jolie and the babies were all doing well. They're expected to stay in the hospital for a several more days.
Vivienne Marcheline is apparently named in honor of Jolie's mom, Marcheline Bertrand, who died last year.
If you can't wait to see photos of the babes, you shouldn't have to wait long - reports say that Brad and Angelina have already sold the rights to the first pictures to a U.S. publication for millions of dollars, which they're donating to charity.
Congratulations!
