Political Nanny: Oops! Conservative Pundits Call Palin Pick 'Gimmicky,' 'Bull**it'

Posted by Madeline Holler

Advice to, well, anybody wearing a microphone: assume it's on.

Today on MSNBC, Peggy Noonan, WSJ columnist, and Mike Murphy, former McCain adviser, were caught with their mics on and their opinions on tape.

[Via HuffPo]

When Chuck Todd asked her if this was the most qualified woman the Republicans could nominate, Noonan responded, "The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives. Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and that's not what they're good at, they blow it."

Murphy characterized the choices as "cynical" and "gimmicky."

Is Strollerderby a blog about parenting or a blog about the Palin family?  Sorry, SD, I've been a loyal reader for awhile, but you've lost me now.

I thought Political Nanny was always about politics, oh, and especially politician parents. You keep putting our country first Political Nanny!!! And please, keep up this great service of keeping a clear record of who is attacking whom in the MEDIA, separate from individual campaigns or political camps.

Mom2Two who becomes the president and vice president has a lot to do with parenting.  They will decide the quality of your childs' education, the war and if your child will fight it in 18 years, the economy and if you can afford gas or food.  Or government is vital to our parenting.  But I guess you would rather hear about Angelina Jolies' twins.

Madeline, much to her credit, has been reporting on Sarah Palin for awhile now, long before she was even a gleam in John McCain's eye. And yeah, Presidential elections are very much about families.

And that video is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Sorry Cassie, if I want to read about politics, I'll go to MSN or Yahoo and read the headlines there.  Lately, half the posts here have been about Palin, her choice of baby names, photoshopped pics of her in a bikini, etc.  Boring.  I don't give a shit about Angelina Jolie's twins (and BTW, that's what Famecrawler is for), but I'd rather read about breastfeeding and preschool and stuff like that.  And I certainly won't miss your obnoxious, misguided comments either.  Taking SD off my reader...
