Maxed Out Moms Leaning Towards McCain & Palin

Posted by SunnyChanel

Time Magazine, along with the rest of the media out there, really loves themselves a good old-fashioned poll. According to new studies, “Maxed-Out Moms” (and really, what mom isn’t maxed out) are leaning towards voting for McCain and Palin.  Their new poll conducted September 11 to the 15th,, does show that Obama and McCain are neck in neck with the female voter. But it looks like McCain holds an 18 point lead “among older, less educated likely women voters”.

Some of the factors that are leading these “maxed out moms” to lean towards the McCain ticket are:

• “…many maxed-out moms are older than Obama, which makes them more skeptical that he has the experience he needs to do the job”
• “Many are more culturally conservative than he is…”
• “…they are more likely than their younger sisters to be what Democratic pollster Celinda Lake delicately describes as "racially sensitive."”

With the addition of Palin to the ticket, the “maxed out moms” found what they think is a kindred spirit. In the Time poll they found that “68% of older, non-college-educated women expressed a favorable opinion of her.” A McCain strategist says “"They see their lives reflected in hers,".

Wonder if they can afford the $2500 Valentino jacket or $400 eyeglasses Palin wears? A factory worker interviewed at a Wal Mart said “"Honestly, I don't know what to do. I really don't want to vote for McCain. You can tell he only cares about rich people. Sarah Palin wears glasses that cost $300. McCain's wife wears Gucci clothes. Which means they don't know anything about people like me." Into that stew of assumptions, she adds: "I hear that Obama's a Muslim. If he is a Muslim, that would be a problem, because the terrorists already attacked us."”

Obama’s team is now picking up the pace to try to seduce the female vote, especially after the pick of Palin as McCain’s VP running mate. Now if we can only get Joe Biden in a skirt...

I am really confused about why we are talking about what Sarah Palin wears when Michelle Obama wears just as expensive clothes as other celebrities. And has anyone thought that maybe they are givin these clothes by designers to promote them. I am what you could call "poor" and I don't care if she is wearing Gucci or Prada, I want to know what she can do for our country. They say it's racist to talk about Obama but how come it's not sexist on what their doing to Palin. I'm hispanic and I'm voting for McCain/Palin.

Who cares what they wear? I'm surprised "maxed-out moms" would support a party that would be dead set against using government money to help fund health care and day care for their children, but 100 percent behind sending their kids to die in far off lands. MOM POWER!!!!

P.S. I'm Micronesian and I'm voting for Eliot Spitzer as a write-in candidate.

Maybe it is because what she wears is less scary than "what she can do for our country"...

The other scary part of this story is the fact that there are people in this country that actually believe all Muslims are in favor of terrorist attacks on our country.

Of course, it is in the Republican's best interests to have Americans believe this...

It seems like according to this article, "maxed out moms" means uneducated, racist moms.

I am definitely a maxed out mom, but I'm educated, from a multicultural background, and plan to vote for Obama-Biden. I came to this decision, however, after researching their political agendas and stances on specific issues. In all honesty, I miss Hilary Clinton. If there was a candidate that I specifically related to, it was her.
