Mom Buys Guns for Bullied Teenage Boy

So what do you do if your 14-year-old is being bullied? If you're Michele Cossey of Moron, Pennsylvania, you buy him guns of course!

Cossey pleaded guilty to child endangerment for buying her son a rifle and gun powder in a misguided attempt to build up his self-esteem. The boy was arrested last year after his plot to take out his former school in a Columbine-like attack was foiled by a friend. Well now it turns out the boy's mom helped buy some weapons and gunpowder for grenades.

Authorities say they aren't sure whether the mom knew of her son's plans to wage an attack. But I have to wonder -- why else would she buy him so much ammunition? Child endangement seems like too light a sentence for too crazy a person.

Moron, PA? Are you kidding? If not, what an aptly named city for this poor soul. How sad... if the photo above is an accurate image of the child, I hate to be un-PC, but that mother has a lot to answer for in terms of how she chose to "care" for her son. Hate to be a jerk, but looks like she deployed the guns AND butter method (with a little too much TV, maybe) to the hilt. Awful.

Nothing wrong with encouraging youth to responsibly handle firearms. But maybe instead of a gun she should have bought him a treadmill.

When a kid is fat, it's always because the mom has been feeding him nothin' but butter and sugar! Certainly couldn't be, I dunno, genetics, which is the primary contributor to obesity, could it? In fact, certain physical conditions which are symptomatic in mood disorders (this kid doesn't sound happy)can lead to increased weight gain - but of course, it's always mom feeding the kid BAD FOOD that causes a kid to be heavy! Nobody ever got fat who ate well - and if they did, it's still mom's fault!

Leahsmom, I know. I get it. I know people who are fat in spite of exercise and great diet. Yes I said I was being a jerk (or trying not to be, but failing.) I was just so pissed about the guns... I figured if a mom was the type to buy guns for her young kid, she might also be less than smart about feeding her kid well and taking him on bike rides and yadda yadda. Sure I was being a jerk. Oh well.
