First a senior senator with a 26-year national political career is the "change" candidate, now the report finding Sarah Palin guilty of ethics violations "clears her of wrongdoing."
Ever since Karl Rove started orchestrating campaigns, it seems the republicans have been stranded in Opposite Land. Now the Bush strategy of "lie now, correct yourself later when only .05% of the original audience is paying attention" has morphed into "call the sky green and the grass blue, until the entire populace suffers from gaslighting syndrome."
In this interview, Palin just repeats "cleared of any wrongdoing" like a parrot. It's been painfully obvious for a long time that Palin can't think on her feet or answer questions she hasn't been prepared for. In this case, it's obvious that a certain phrase was given to her and she was told to use it over and over in the hopes that, if it doesn't become actually true, people will carry it around in their heads like a bad 80's rock ballad.
I'm not going to quote her, because I can't stand that song. Instead, I'm putting on a catchy tune of my own to drown it out: Palin broke the law. Palin broke the law. Palin broke the law.
