Video Gamers Find Obama in Xbox 360

Posted by JeanneSager

Thank you Barack Obama. I feel a little better knowing you're advertising your campaign in the middle of an Xbox 360 online racing game. Now I know I'm not the only video game widow out there - they're not just for kids anymore.

A billboard alongside the roadway in Electronic Arts' Burnout Paradise racing game promotes Obama's Vote For Change Website, and urges early voting. Electronic Arts confirmed to GigaOm that it is a paid advertisement, stating the company accepts ads from "credible political candidates." Sounds like a bit of an oxy moron to me, but what the hey.

I'd say Obama's credible enough to believe - if he's shooting for the over-18 able-to-vote crowd, I guess I have to stop telling my husband he should be leaving the video games to the kids.
