If it weren't for the fact that Trig has DS, I would never believe that he was Palin's child rather than her grandchild.  Still, there's PLENTY of information out there that makes it very, very suspicious.  The entire narrative of the choices she made leading up to his birth makes my head spin!  I can't imagine a mother making the set of choices that she did, especially knowing that the baby was going to be special-needs.

Wait, what??  Bristol's due in May?  That would put her pregnancy beginning in August at the very earliest.  I thought that when the story broke back in August Bristol was already a few months preggers?  

I haven't seen Biden's released medical records, but I imagine it says little to nothing specific about his alleged reproductive history.

Is that what we really need now? Every detail of every reproductive and gynecological event for women in the public sphere.

I'm certain it's something that contradicts one of her firm ideologies.  Something along the line of abortion, drug use, etc.  I wouldn't be surprised at all, most politicians who passionately speak out against a controversial issue are usually culprits of such 'condemned' activities...

The point of this is simply that every candidate except palin has released their medical records. It's standard practice to do so, and by not doing so will automatically rasise suspicion. She want's to play in the big league but want's to play by different rules. IF there is nothing to hide show the records, period! I personally believe that trig is not her baby and she can't release the records because she will be exposed.

I really doubt that Trig is really Bristol's child.  Trig has down syndrome.  A 44-year-old is much more likely to give birth to a child with down syndrome than a 17-year-old.

Besides, if they lied about Bristol giving birth to Trig, why aren't they lying about the baby she is currently carrying?

Why won't Obama release his medical records? All he released was a note from a doctor saying he was healthy

Why is the media not demanding that Palin release her medical records?  All candidates should release them.  Is the media being sexist by giving her a pass?

Remember: we only have Palin's word that the baby has DS -- what if it is really fetal alcohol syndrome?

Why didn't the headline read " Biden releases medical records, after two years Obama still refuses to release his"? Since it was about the Democrats why try to slam Palin in the headline? And Amy- WHAT REASON COULD THEIR POSSIBLY BE WHY OBAMA WON'T RELEASE HIS MEDICAL RECORDS AFTER TWO YEARS OF RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT? Could it be his past or maybe current drug use? Time to face facts America, after two weeks we know more about Joe the Plummer's past than we do about Barack Obama's past.

Based on the genius logic of McBush/McBarbie supporters who claim that: (1) Obama is not an American citizen (he hasn't personally provided them with his Hawaii birth certificate); (2) Obama is not a Christian (he is obviously a Muslim because his middle name is Hussein); and (3) Obama is anti-American (presumably because he doesn't believe in  everything that the fascist, red-neck, neo-cons do), McBarbie must be an alien.

Why else would she not release her medical records? Why? I'll tell you why? 'cause she must be an alien. Only aliens would not release their medicals records. That's why.  

The right to medical history privacy is a legal one and nobody should have to give that up- especially so that some left wing lunatic who believes some stupid conspiracy theory about maternity issues or FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME!  What is wrong with you people?  Oh, but if she were liberal, then it would be more the "norm" if she aborted her child or if she were to not support her pregnant daughter and push her into the welfare system?  Why is there no respect for family values anymore?  I don't care what your political stance is, choosing the tough path to raise a DS child and support a pregnant teen deserves better than this trash talk.

With both her and the baby's father dropping out of school, they'll likely be in the welfare system, anyhow...

I'm not sure drug use eliminates one from being President, does it? I mean, Bush got elected twice...

As long as Palin wants to tell me what to do with MY body and MY family, I say her entire life is fair game.

Christopher Chamberlain raises an interesting point - some of the best and most vocal supporters of a cause are often folks who were once on the other side - for example, Alcoholics Anonymous sponsors are folks who themselves are recovering alcoholics.  

I don't think this is a bad thing - after all, who better to campaign for change than someone who was on the other side of what they want?  But I do think its a bad thing when religious leaders or conservative political leaders feel that they can't acknowledge their own humanity and that they have to be liars in order to advance their cause.  I'm much more likely to listen to a recovering drug user talk to me about the dangers and practical impacts of drug use, and what we can do to help drug users, than I am to some pristine holier-than-thou figurehead.  I don't quite understand why there is this attitude on their part.

I am one of those who believe that Trig is not her baby.  The facts leading up to the birth are just inconsistent with someone who was pregnant with a special needs child.  She was in Texas giving a speech when she went into labor and then flew back to Alaska?  Seriously doubt it.  That's why she's holding out.

DE, there is a whole book about Obama's past and plenty of people who back up the story.

This site is so biased its sickening (along so many other sites). Leave the poor woman and her medical records alone, that is a private matter.

Oh yes, the "poor woman."  The poor little innocent... who just HAPPENS to be running for the job of Vice President, where she would be half a heartbeat away from the job giving her access to the Button.  We need to just leave her alooooone!  After all, she wouldn't stick her nose into our lives, our family decisions, or say what we should or shouldn't be doing with OUR bodies.  Us liberals are just so meeeeaaaan!

Obama released his medical records last week--the NY Times  did a full story on it. So did McCain and Biden. It's true--the only one who wouldn't is Palin.

My money's on the fact that she never had a baby in April.

I for one believe we have a right to know the health of the leaders of our nation. Do you want someone with terminal cancer as president?  Or someone with untreated psychosis?  Or a liar?  If Palin lied about that child then she is of poor character.  I do not want another liar in office.  There are plenty of truthful people out there to take the job instead.  There are two groups most likely to bear a DS child, those over 40 and those under 18.  Personally, I think they made an adoption plan but when they found out the child had DS no one would adopt him.  So they decided to use the plot from Desperate HOusewives and pretend the child was hers to save the daughter from shame and to make the governor look heroic.  Then dumb teeny bopper gets knocked up agian thinking she was safe so soon after giving birth.  The doctor who delivered Trig speacializes in placing the babies of teen moms with adoptive families.  What a coincidence that she also just happened to deliver the Governer's child and that there is not a single photo of the governer and her new baby taken at the hospital.  We all have that photo, holding the newborn wiht the family around the bed.  Where is that photo?

I wouldn't have heard about the scandal surrounding Palin, Bristol and Trig had I not been surfing the net.  Its sickening how so many people are ignoring the truth in this matter. I'm appalled at how the allegations about Obama associating with terrorist was repeated on the nightly news on every news station but Sarah's preganancy has not been questions.  It's ashamed that so many people rely on the news for unbiased information and here we are with a whole soap opera regarding VP candidate Palin and her lies about this pregnancy and many people are not alloted this information to form their own opinion. I can't wait until this comes to frutition. It seems like the republican's are doing a great job of covering this up.........this is crazy!!!!

How devastating would it be to the campaign if it were revealed Palin had an abortion?  So much for shoring up "the base".

I have been Senator Barack Obama’s primary care physician since March 23, 1987. The following is a summary of his medical records for the past 21 years.

During that period of time, Senator Obama has been in excellent health. He has been seen regularly for medical checkups and various minor problems such as upper respiratory infections, skin rashes and minor injuries.

His family history is pertinent for his mother’s death from ovarian cancer and grandfather who died of prostate cancer. His own history included intermittent cigarette smoking. He has quit this practice on several occasions and is currently using Nicorette gum with success.

Senator Obama’s last medical checkup was on January 15, 2007; he had no complaints. He exercised regularly often jogging three miles. His diet was balanced with good intake of roughage and fluids. A complete review of systems was unremarkable. On physical examination, his blood pressure was 90/60 and pulse 60/minute. His build was lean and muscular with no excess body fat. His physical examination was completely normal.

Laboratory studies included triglycerides of 44(normal under 150), cholesterol 173 (normal under 200), HDL 68 (normal over 40), and LDL 96 (normal under 130). Chem 24, urinalysis and CBC were normal, PSA was 0.6, very good. An EKG was normal.

In short, his examination showed him to be in excellent health. Senator Barack Obama is in overall good physical and mental health needed to maintain the resiliency required in the Office of President.

kinda harsh lady even if she is in politics her health records shouldnt have a damn thing to do with it. you said yourself she is a marathon runner or what ever and she is young so if she wants some prvacy fine give it to her the lady is already got her bad parenting skills out there because of her pregnant teen. geez. by the way im a liberal so dont give me that your favoriting a politician crap cause i dont care for her or mccain! oh well people are always going to be nosy i guess so good luck with the medical records you so desperately need to see...and if that kid is not hers well at least she took on the job. good for her. i swear its like everyone forgets politicians are people with emotions.
