How Many Nannies Do the Angelina Jolie & Brat Pitt Family Have?

Posted by SunnyChanel

You know, I’d be happy with just one Nanny. Scratch that, I’d be happy with just half a nanny. The Angelina/Pitt family, how many nannies do you think they have to keep the jet-setting family sane? According to Life & Style Magazine, the magic number is Six. Six nannies. One for each child. But when you’re jetting all over the world, having enough able bodies to handle the chaos is, I’m sure, a necessity.

On their recent trip in New Orleans, the crew tried to make do with just four nannies but had to fly two in as an emergency measure.  And to transport the brood, they have to employ a convey of autos. In Germany, for example, they have twenty cars at their disposal.

But although they do employ more than enough help, family pal Wyclef Jean, of the Fugees fame, says “They make plenty of time for the kids, they’re great parents.”

Do you think six nannies is too many?

I don't think 6 nannies is too many. If you are going to have that many kids, it would be impossible to really take care of them without a lot of help. For most people, I would say 6 kids is too many.

The phrase is "make do" not "make due."

I kind of agree - obviously, people are free to do as they choose - but I do think that most families with a lot of kids tend to have kids of differing ages - the Brangelina clan has, what, six, all under the age of five? I don't see how it's really possible to be a parent to so many little ones, who need so much quantity time in addition to quality time - as opposed to having, say, a teen, a few preteens, a grade schooler, a toddler, and a baby, who seem more likely to work around each other, need-wise.  And she wants more babies? I kinda feel like, she could actually enjoy some of her babies' baby and toddlerhoods first, and then see what she thinks! But if she can hire a surrogate parent for each kid, then I guess it doesn't matter.

Jon & Kate have 8 (6 of them are 3 or years old)... they handle it themselves, but then again they aren't traveling the world. Maybe the 6 nannies makes sense for them. We wouldn't know. They live a life that none of us can even fathom.

Jon and Kate have a nanny, plus random neighbors/friends helping out, and let's not forget the camera crew that's there all the time.  Now, let me say I have NO PROBLEM with Jon and Kate or Brangelina having help.  I say, have whatever help you need and can afford.

BUT.  I get sick of these celebrity moms saying how much they just LOVE motherhood, how it's so wonderful all the time.  Yeah, when you don't have to do your own laundry and you're still free to do whatever you need to, child-free, it is wonderful all the time.

Well those kids need parents.  So the Jolie-Pitt duo bought one for each of them.  How nice.

I can see bringing nannies for international travel....getting that many kids through the airport and customs by yourself would be impossible.  Plus the need to scoop and run if paparazzi or crazies get too close.  And can you imagine if you didn't have help and they all chose to meltdown on the plane????

I haven't seen anything to show that they are bad parents.  They want their kids with them and they need help and they can afford it.  No biggie.

yes and no on the 6 nannies is 2 many thing... yes for everyday life in you home (if they even have one) 6 nannies is a little much since they chose to have that many children they should have thought about all the hard work that was going to go into it.  Raising a child is not an easy task and I am sure raising 6 is mind boggling but that is the life they chose so they should be raising their own kids, not a nanny.  Then again when it comes to traveling, no 6 is not to many.  I definetely think it is a good idea to have 1 nanny per child when traveling especially with all the crazy lunitics in this world.  Now dont take this the wrong way cuz i am a single working mom who (when my child was younger) had to get child care while I worked and I am not saying that is wrong... what I am saying though is that these celebrities that think its cool to have kids and then hire someone else to raise them is not right.  Whats the point of having kids if you arent going to partake in the experience of seeing them grow?!?

On a different note... there is NO comparision between Jon and Kate and Brad and Angelina... yes Jon and Kate do have help on an OCCASIONAL basis as do any NORMAL parents with children let alone 6 4yr olds and 2 8yr olds but they do not by any means have a nanny per child or help everyday.  Yes they have their camera crew there at all times but really, how much help do you think they offer???  I watch their show every week and for the most part... Kate takes care of all her kiddos and the house while daddy works and when he comes home, he helps.  They are a VERY strong union as should any married couple be with or without kids!!!

Have a nice day everyone :)

I had 4 children, who for a day were all under 3 years old (that included twins).  They are now  5, 4 and 2.  I had no nanny, but I would be the first to say |"take all the help you can get, whenever it is available" (God Bless my mother!).  But I am tired of all sorts of media making these celebrity moms to seem like "God" and "Mother Teresa", and always praising them. Giving to others is wonderful, but when you are not a full time parent in every sense of the word, it is easy to do! And still look great while doing it!
