Jaws and the Baby in the Belly: Freaky or Funny?

Posted by JeanneSager

I was a cranky pregnant lady, but there are a few things I miss about the days of baby in belly. Feeling her move around was at first one of the strangest - and later the coolest - experiences of my life. So when a friend passed on this video (it's old, but she said it's appropriate for Halloween), I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be a teeny bit . . insulted?

I mean, I am all for laughing through the tears. When you're pregnant you can't drink them away, so what do you have left? But the soundtrack from Jaws set to your baby moving in your belly?

I think I'm giggling with a hand clamped over my mouth so no one can hear it. What about you - funny or freaky?

I'm about that preggers right now and I can NEVER catch him doing that kind of stuff to even show my partner.  At night I make him stare intently at the belly but our little Baby B never moves for anyone but me!!  GARRR!!!  This is HILARIOUS!

Ashley, my baby does the same thing! I'm 33 weeks, and my husband just FINALLY felt James move last night. He just about jumped out of his skin it surprized him so much.

I think it's cute. I sometimes feel like I'm about 30 seconds away from re-enacting a scene from Alien.

Why on earth would this be insulting in the slightest?  Please don't tell me you think it'll scar the kid for life because its mom did something a little kooky with her pre-partum free time.  Lighten up.  Sheesh.

It would be scary if the end a scary face was pushed up against the skin.  Twice this Halloween season have I jumped outta my seat because I was watching a tutorial about pumpkin carving or something then at the end they had the chick from the exorcist jump out of nowhere.  So no, this video is not freaky but it SO could be for next year.

This is hilarious. When you see your baby moving like that, it's cool, but also totally weird, so setting it to this music is really funny.
