New Mom Jessica Alba Was Totally Photoshopped - Check Out the Before & After Pics

Posted by SunnyChanel

Seeing Jessica Alba showing off her sleek and lithe body in the recent Campari campaign totally pissed me off. Yeah, I was jealous. After 2 ½ years I still don’t have my belly back in any semblance of it’s prebaby form. So I was partly thrilled and partly disgusted to see the leaked photos that prove that they did a total PhotoShop overhaul on Jessica Alba’s body, the new mother of a five month old.

The graphics team made some pretty drastic changes to the images taken by Mario Testino. They took off inches from her waist and hips, gave a lift to her bustline and made her skin look like flawless buttered caramel. Thing is she looks just as good in her original photos, it doesn’t seem like they needed to make the adjustments they did, or as drastically. Regardless, pre PhotoShop she still looks amazing after having a baby five months ago. And yes, I’m still jealous.

Do you think they needed to make so many changes to Jessica Alba's image?

I agree, I would love to look like she does in the pre-Photoshop pics. I actually think she looks better. The touched-up pics are kind of ridiculous.

It just goes to show that even she isn't perfect enough for magazines.

I think she looks more normal (although still in unusually great shape for only 5mos. later) in the untouched picture. The photoshopped pictures make her waist look silly in a Barbie kind of way. I can't believe they made anyone wear that weird white short set thing.

Agreed that she looks great in her unadulterated form, too bad that can't be good enough for Madison Ave.  One thing that annoys me about photoshopped model pics is the lenghtening of necks - see how much longer her neck is is the 2nd set of pics?

But why is this a surprise? Every single model shot in every single glossy has been photoshopped!

I think the first picture is better. She looks great! In all honesty, I can't even look at pictures like this anymore because it makes me feel like a big fat troll.

I surprised they used her real body at all. Usually we just photoshop their head on a body doulbe hired for teh day.  Coordinating a full body shoot is next to impossible with celebrities so usually you can get some face shots right quick using the same lighting and just paste it on. Besides, the body doubles look wonderful and the celebrities are less pressured to look perfect.  95% of the bodies you see in movie posters, print ads and promos are hired stand ins.  Even people from the office are used in a regularly.  My sister is in so many movie posters I have lost count.  She was used twice in one poster to stand in for two actresses in the same shoot!

God forbid there's ever a time we don't look like sex dolls, even if we just gave birth a few hours ago.

Not to mention that in the second photoshopped pic, the editors were so intent on "stretching" her out that they threw her dimensions off--the right hip (relative to the viewer) is so much lower than the left one that it looks dislocated. Sad.
