How much did you get paid for your child’s first photos? Me? I got nada, zilch, zero and in fact had to actually pay out money for prints. But then, my mom hadn’t just run for Vice President. According to MSNBC, Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin, will be receiving an estimated $300,000 from People magazine for the rights to publish the first pics of her newborn son with fiancée Levi Johnson. The baby boy named Tripp was born on December 28th.
Even before the baby was born there was a mini bidding war for the pics. The numbers are nowhere near Jolie-Pitt territory but 300k will go a long way in Alaska. The bidding started at $100,000 but got a bit hotter after Levi’s mom was arrested recently on drug related charges. Nothing like a little family scandal to raise the price tag. People and In Touch Magazine were the active bidders with People winning in the end.
