Don’t let your kid be a fashion victim. And not just aesthetically. We mean ‘victim’ in the risk of life and limb sense. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that two of the hoodies by pop star Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers kid’s line as unsafe for those trendy tots who wear them.
Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers Hooded Jackets features cute little girls riding motor scooters and the Lovers Leopard style that has a leopard design in grey and black. Why are these hoodies a hazard? They have drawstring around the hood which can be a strangulation issue.
Fortunately, no injuries or incidents have been reported. These $75 hoodies were sold at Nordstrom’s and Macy’s along with other retailers. If you happen to have one, you are advised to either remove the drawstring in question or return it to where it was purchased.
