OctoMom Video Blog at RadarOnline

Nadya Suleman in...The Neverending StoryI don't want to be mean here. I really don't. But I'm starting to feel sorry for Nadya Suleman and her children.

I really think she needs help. I don't mean financial help. Help from a doctor not named Phil.

In a new video blog posted exclusively at RadarOnline, she says "I want to be private." She means that she doesn't want people to know where she lives, because clearly she doesn't want to be, you know, actually private. "Being in the field I'm in, I know there's a lot of emotionally disturbed people in the world…I have trust issues."

She's not worried about anything, she's not overwhelmed. She's hiring help. The other moms are supportive, everything is FINE.

What?

You see her interacting with her children, who don't seem all that happy. The tape feels like an audition reel for a reality show.

Other highlights, in case you can't bear to watch the video:

-    New house, a rental. "I'm doing it myself," meaning no help from anyone. Unclear how it's possible to rent a 2800 square foot house with no job.
-    MSNBC says that the video "shows Suleman struggling to speak as one of her older six kids bites her, pulls her hair and slaps her in the face," but I didn't see anything terribly unusual. I mean, the kids don't look thrilled by the camera and are eventually ushered out of the room (presumably to a very weary grandmother, but you don't see that). Still, the kids' behavior looks like a kid trying to get mommy's attention.
-    This part I will just quote: "Suleman said her older children are already jealous of the octuplets. When a friend showed the kids a picture of their new siblings, 'they hit the picture,' Suleman said." Oy vey.

Also bizarre are her hand-written blog entries. In this one she talks about meeting Dr. Phil. (Because that's really what a mother of 14 should be thinking about.) By not typing her entries for her, Radar clearly wants us to see Nadya's nutty side. (Read the PDF file here.)

It's all fairly disturbing, actually. Hard to look, hard to look away.

An older child biting, pulling hair, and slapping mom's face is normal behavior?

So, help me out here.  SHE'S giving interviews right and left.  SHE is making available both a written and video "diary". I guess my education is sorely lacking, because nothing she does fits my understanding of the word "private". I, also, think that this video diary is her attempt to audition for the reality show she so desperately wants.  Unfortunately, she has been caught up in far too many lies for me to believe a word she says.  She realizes that things are not happening the way she planned, so now she has to try to play the sympathy card.  TOO LATE....

@Knitty: I guess "normal" is a little bit of a stretch. Not as unusual as MSNBC made it sound. The way they worded it I expected to see the kid from 'The Omen.'

However we are not seeing what happens when the cameras are not there.  Editing is also a very handy tool--both ways, I do understand--yet how will these kids act around a woman they have had very little attention from for a significant amount of time in their very young lives ??  I can't imagine it is a very emotionally healthy situation for them.

I just don't understand how she has time for all of this stuff. When my twins were that young, I hardly had time to pee or shower.

As a mother of two boys,  wish I could have more kids. Ms

Sulman has guts. I wish her well but she needs to put her

kids first.  Think what kind of life they will have. They will be on welfare an foodstamps for a very long time. God only knows what medical conditions they will have and what type of care they will need. If I was her I would give my babies a better life, a life of not wanting anything, having to wonder where my next meal will come from. That's just too maqny kids. Think of them and not yourself. What can she offer them? Foodstamps, medicalcards, state help? She won't "WE WILL!!!" The tax payers!!! It's sad, think of the kids and not yourself. There are people that can't have kids or can't have anymore, they would love to raise a baby from the USA. Think about it!!!!

All of these kids need to be removed from the home. The tax payers are paying for the care of all of them, Kieser will be asking for all of the money to be returned for the medical and home care for these babies. As a tax payer I vote, take them all away.

This woman is proof that a little education is dangerous! She talks in circles, back pedals, avoids questions.

Take them away and let her fade away, book, video blog and all.

Give all of those kids a fighting chance in life. As of now, they have none.
