What’s a good prize for a 4-year-old boy? A Tonka truck, a Thomas the Train set or a great big lollipop? Yeh Chien-wei didn’t win any of those. Nope, this preschool aged child won his very own island. The young boy won the rights to tropical island in a Taiwan lottery that was developed to boost spending. The plot of land is situated in Penghu County located in the Taiwan Strait . Yeh has exclusive rights from May to September and he can take up to seven family members with him five times, each trip can only be three days in length.
The uninhabited island boosts white sand beaches and clear turquoise water but it isn’t too deserted since it does have water and electricity as well as a cabin. Food and drinks will also be provided.
Pretty nice for a four-year-old. He says he “wants to play in the sea.” And I bet he’ll have an onslaught of people ready to have a playdate on his private isle.
