Kids Review 'Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian'

Posted by KeriF

Critics may have called this Ben Stiller sequel "utterly dispensible," "awfully dull," and "a big, bloated bore," but who cares? What did the kids think of it?

Matt Cuthbert over at al.com headed to his city's IMAX theater to interview kids on camera to find out what they thought of the movie. While they weren't quite as verbose as adult critics (most of the kids muttered, "yeah" when asked if they liked the film) they do provide some insight into why kids' movies are for, well, kids. You can watch the video here.

I did my part this past weekend to contribute to the film's $70 million haul, so I asked some of the kids in our communal household to offer their insight:

Me: Did you like the movie?

(All kids nod in unison.)

Me (realizing I need to be more specific): What was your favorite part of the movie?

Hilary (6): When the statue shouted, "dum dum!"

Declan (4): The fighting part.

Ronan (3): When the big guy put the blue guy in the water and there were birdies inside it and I don't like the birdies get the blue guy. (I don't recall this particular scene.)

Aaron (3): We got candy!

There you go, from the experts. What did you think of the movie? Let us know in the comments below!
