I caught the "world's biggest baby shower" show when it first aired a few years ago. Oprah and Cindy Crawford joined forces to hand out gifts to hundreds of pregnant wives of men serving in Iraq. The sheer volume of the gifts handed out was mind-boggling, but that's Oprah, and that's smart marketing by companies like Amazon, Snugli, and Ugg.
