If this post ends abruptly it is probably because I was struck by God-sent lightening for suggesting that anybody else could be Mozart.
Yes, I am a really big fan. Being a classical musician myself, I won't bore you with all of the reasons why I think Mozart kicks all the other composers asses all put together, but I will tell you that he was astounding.
Charlie Liu is six years old and people are actually comparing him to Mozart. I didn't catch him playing on The Ellen DeGeneres show, but he is supposed to be amazing. Liu began lessons when he was four years old and was playing in front of audiences three months later.
Fortunately for Charlie, while his parents seem to recognize and encourage his talent, they are also making sure he gets to do things that other six year olds get to do. He also swims and plays hockey.
