The California Supreme Court has ruled that fertility clinics may not turn away clients
based on their sexual orientation or marital status. Yes, that's even
if the doctors claim helping lesbians or singles become mothers is
against their religion. Hallelujah!
What's incredible to me is
that doctors turned away paying customers in the first place. But with
the baby-making business booming, perhaps there was some wiggle room in
the bottom line for bigotry.
