Yo Gabba Gabba! is
a fantastic if not bizarro kid show created by members of the So Cal
costumed ska band The Aquabats. And they brought their music and movie
biz friends along for the (educational) ride. In addition to musical
interludes from
The Shins,
Hot Hot Heat and our own
Mates of State, regular segments on
Yo Gabba include Biz Markie’s
“Beat of the Day”
and Mark Mothersbaugh’s “Art with Mark”. But the big stars of the show
are costumed creatures Muno, Brobee, Foofa, Toodee and Plex (the magic
robot) along side real-life DJ Lance Rock as host/benevolent deity in
the sky.
