Tell me you didn't think "cha-ching!" the first (only?) time you
ever watched ABC's wildly popular reality show "Extreme Makeover: Home
Edition." I mean, come on. Families living on the edge are suddenly
given more than a half-million dollar asset. You knew, we all knew, at
least some of them were going to leverage all that stainless steel and
terrazo and square footage into real cash money.
Well, at
least one beneficiary of soul-patched Ty Pennington's crew and Sears' product placement, errr,
I mean generosity, and a town's skilled workers has turned over their
extremely madeover home to the bank. The exquisitely appointment
mini-mansion is in foreclosure. The family is back to where they
started -- broke and with nowhere to live.
