This headline really sounds like something straight out of The Onion. But nope, it's actually from London's Daily Mail: "Mother's Anger Turns to Delight After Her Baby Survives an Abortion."
Here's
the deal: Jodie Percival has a genetic condition that triggers a
life-threatening form of kidney disease in any infants she conceives.
Her first child died of the condition. Her second is surviving on just
one kidney. Given the situation, Percival was on the Pill and had no
plans to get pregnant again. But somehow her fiance managed to sneak
one past the goalie. (Clearly he doesn't play for the Pittsburgh
Penguins.)
