• Open Early, Open Wide

  I love the exact, carved-in-stone scheduling of well-baby visits to the pediatrician. First appointment at two weeks of age, then four weeks, two months, and so on. No guessing; those weigh-ins and vaccinations practically schedule themselves. I am lost, however, when it comes to the dentist. My oldest girl sat in a dentist’s chair for the first time at the ripe age of five. This, apparently, was four years later than is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and three years later than most of her friends.   Read More...
